Tehran : Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has once again taunted the United States and Donald Trump. On Monday, Khamenei mocked President Trump's claim that Iran's nuclear facilities had been destroyed. He called the US strikes that destroyed Iran's nuclear program misleading. He also criticized Trump's calls for a halt to the war in Gaza and peace efforts as empty and empty.

Khamenei expressed his anger at the US and Israel in a post on Instagram on Monday, specifically responding to Trump's comments. Trump recently said that Iran's nuclear ambitions had been destroyed after the US strikes in June. Khamenei responded to this, saying, "The US President boasts that we have destroyed Iran's nuclear program. If Trump thinks so, that's great; let him keep dreaming."

Israel was also targeted

Khamenei strongly criticized Trump's recent visit to Israel, calling it a hollow attempt to strengthen the demoralized Jewish regime. Khamenei said, "Regarding the US president's visit, I believe he went there to make empty promises and boost the morale of the demoralized Jewish regime. They are completely demoralized by the setback Israel suffered in the 12-day war with Iran."

Trump: We'll Destroy Iran’s Nukes

Khamenei's comments follow Trump's recent remarks at the White House. Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said, "Today, Iran is trying to save its existence. Two weeks ago, news broke that Iran was trying to develop nuclear weapons. I said, 'Don't worry about it. We will destroy it with an attack before that happens.'"

Iran-US tension

Trump's comments and Khamenei's strong response signal a renewed escalation of tensions between the US and Iran. Tensions between the two countries have long been over Iran's nuclear program. The US alleges that Iran is trying to develop nuclear weapons. Iran maintains that its activities are for peaceful purposes. The US bombed Iran's nuclear program sites in June this year.
